viktor ehikhamenor is one of those artists for me that you happen upon and all of sudden you realise you've had a perceptual shift. plus he works in lines but massively bolder than me. and, without wanting to lapse too much into politics (tho his words on damien hirst remain apposite), it's great to see a successful artist from anywhere in africa who hasn't had to migrate to the uk or america.

i'm not a big fan of more representational landscapes, which naomi tydeman does as well, butwhen she's just on the edge of abstraction i find her work sublime. great skills!

this type of x-ray representation has become more common in recent years but i don't think you can go wrong with a decent image from nature of a monday and albert koetsier does it perfectly!
