came across these brilliant designs for ink vis the ever reliable public domain review. for me, who loves a drawing ink, i immediately thought of michael peters' designs for winsor and newton

 

wang huangsheng

inevitably there's a comparison to cy twombly for wang huahngsheng but this doesn't work for me historically or culturally and, more importantly, seems to set huangsheng's work in a framework that doesn't exist. plus i just like it better and that's really what it's all about!
