orkney and the pictish trail

 nice to see what i once described as the homeland. an impending visit again very soon. love it but it's a memory of a version of myself now and, even if  it were an option, i don't think i'd ever go back to live.

grand route. some odd attitudes re west coast/east coast and some even shonkier history but still worth watching. camping, as ever, appears awful.
