there's a lot of first world war memorialising going on where i am at the moment which, amongst other things, seems to leave out a lot of lived experience whether it be objectors, restricted workers, the experience of the returning wounded and traumatised (and so far i've heard no mention of the current problem of homelessness etc with our current servicemen). it's a shame as there's an abundance og non-fiction and fictional material dealing iwth this.
