ed ross

got to love an old school image. no specific site for ed ross but a bit of care with your googling. there's a healthy dose of male gaze here and the results will almost certainly will contain content that's nsfw

akira kusaka

i'll tell you one thing - doing this blog has definitely pushed me more towards the figurative and illustrative end of the spectrum. so here's akira kusaka who i like for many of the reasons i like shaun tan but also just to remind myself that's there's whole different strands of illustrtation in japan

so, yes, i breathed

and i kind of missed doing all of this. definitely check out that matthew herbert sequence in the actual film. i love the soundtrack but the sequence itself is beautiful and transformative.

so, a kind of a start (again). maybe there'll be a bit less text - i don't want to just get caught up in a mess of superlatives! or maybe i'll get more verbal. who knows. enjoy
