Lounge lizard is from 1912, originally in reference to men who hung around in tea rooms to flirt.

medieval wound man
there's images that i just like that somehow don't seem to fit on here but i don't think i want to miss them out any more. so here's medieval wound man, a poor wee soul who's exposed to all manner of iniquity but echoes of whom can still be found in the likes of scorsese's gangs of new york or the (possibly more sinister) monadknock baton chart
